We are currently seeking a Shop Associate to work in our Houston, TX Service Center. 

Role:

The Shop Associate collaborates with the internal team to ensure coordination of daily warehouse operations and fulfillment. The Shop Associate will be responsible for shop safety, inventory control, and collaborate on fleet management. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working autonomously, but as well as be able to demonstrate leadership and strong team communications skills. Familiarity with construction and retail environments is a plus.

This position will also help with material logistics, often transporting supplies inbetween Houston and Dallas. 

Description:

The Shop Associate is responsible for a range of duties related to the coordination of the shop activities. The Shop Associate will utilize company best practices and industry best practices. The Shop Associate will successfully complete required daily processes. As a Boston Retail Solutions Shop Associate you will express accountability through: 

Successful execution of Inventory Control of hard assets 

Safely executing Materials Handling, Shipping and Receiving protocols

Successful documentation of daily inventory and materials movements

Effective communications with teammates 

Adherence and compliance to required documentation 

Ability to expeditiously complete and close out project lifecycle 

Continued development of personal business attributes and industry best practices

Duties and Responsibilities:

Daily oversight of shop/warehouse operations, equipment and personnel

Ensure that correct inventory is pulled, loaded onto trucks(s) and documented daily 

 Ensure that correct tools and machinery and equipment is pulled, loaded onto truck(s) and documented daily 

Collaborate with project management on inventory lifecycle tracking via company protocols and platforms 

Assist in development and coordination of manpower schedule(s)

Collaborate with Shop Foreman on coordination of resources 

Review project plans and drawings 

Occasional on site project monitoring and inspections 

Communicate effectively and professionally with field and office teammates, subcontracted partners, and clients 

Actively review project documentation to prevent waste and to ensure profitability.

Maintain accurate and complete records 

Transport materials between our Houston and Dallas offices via a truck and trailer, or box truck.

High school diploma or GED 

Preferred experience working within the field of retail or commercial construction Familiarity with construction, remodeling, and roll outs is a plus 

Able to comfrotably and safely drive a truck with a flatbed or enclosed trailer long distances.
