Position Summary

Horseshoe Bay Resort is seeking a professional, customer-focused Golf Shop Associate to support daily golf operations at the prestigious Cap Rock Clubhouse. This role serves as a primary point of contact for members and guests, assisting with tee time reservations, golfer check-in, retail sales, tournament support, and overall golf shop operations.

The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment, possesses strong communication skills, and is committed to delivering exceptional service while maintaining the high standards of Horseshoe Bay Resort.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet members and guests in a professional, friendly, and welcoming manner.
  • Manage tee time reservations, golfer check-in, and daily play schedules.
  • Answer phone calls, provide course information, and respond to guest inquiries.
  • Process retail and golf-related transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures for the golf shop.
  • Maintain merchandise displays, visual presentation standards, and shop cleanliness.
  • Receive, organize, and replenish inventory as needed.
  • Support golf tournaments, member events, and special outings.
  • Coordinate with Golf Operations staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Promote merchandise, golf programs, and resort offerings to members and guests.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow established cash-handling procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Golf Operations leadership.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn golf management and point-of-sale systems.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred

  • Previous golf, retail, hospitality, country club, or resort experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of golf terminology and golf operations is a plus.
  • Experience handling cash and retail transactions.
