Job description

Brown Eagle is experiencing significant growth and currently seeking a Shipping/Receiving Data Entry Clerk with a commitment to excellence in safety and quality to join the team at our Corporate Office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This individual should be detail-oriented, a self-starter and capable of driving continuous improvement in the companyas efforts to keep high standards of shipping and receiving.  The Shipping / Receiving Clerk will be responsible for, but not limited to, scheduling shipments, data entry, problem solving and working closely with our internal customers.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Record shipments and inventories in SAP (must know SAP T-codes)
  • Coordinate, and maintain shipping/receiving requests and documents
  • Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records, including creating BOLs
  • Create complete receiving and shipping transactions
  • Ensure compliance for the Shipping Department to all company and government safety standards.
  • Prepare reports and file shipping/receiving records
  • Assist in resolving any daily shipping and receiving discrepancies

Qualifications, Education and Required Skills

  • Proficiency with database applications (SAP)- TWO YEARS EXPERIENCE
  • Must be willing to work flexible and extended hours as required, including some weekends.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • The ability to read, write, understand and speak English
  • A minimum of 2 years of previous work experience in shipping/receiving
  • Detail oriented; Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Microsoft Office experience.
  • Demonstrated good internal customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
