Job Title: Data Entry Clerk - Shipping & Receiving
Job Summary:
The Data Entry Clerk - Shipping and Receiving is responsible for accurately recording and maintaining shipping, receiving, inventory, and logistics information. This role supports warehouse and distribution operations by entering shipment data, tracking inventory movements, processing documentation, and ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
Enter and update shipping and receiving data in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or databases.
Process incoming and outgoing shipment documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, and purchase orders.
Verify shipment information for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain inventory records and update stock movement transactions.
Generate shipping labels and prepare shipping paperwork.
Coordinate with warehouse staff, carriers, suppliers, and customers regarding shipment status.
Track deliveries and update shipment records.
File and organize shipping and receiving documents.
Assist with inventory counts, audits, and reconciliation of inventory records.
Prepare reports related to inventory, shipments, and receiving activities.
Follow company safety, quality, and data confidentiality procedures.
Required Skills
Strong data entry and typing skills with high accuracy.
