Job description

Job Summary:
The Receiving Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for receiving incoming shipments, verifying materials against purchase orders, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring proper storage of materials. This role supports warehouse and production operations by maintaining inventory accuracy and identifying discrepancies or damaged goods in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage
Verify materials against purchase orders and packing slips
Enter and update inventory information in inventory management systems
Maintain accurate inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
Label, organize, and store materials in designated warehouse locations
Communicate shortages, damaged items, or inventory issues to management
Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits
Follow warehouse safety procedures and company policies
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations preferred
Basic computer and data entry skills
Ability to read purchase orders and shipping documents
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
