Description
We are seeking a Logistics / Shipping & Receiving Inventory Clerk to support warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping/receiving activities at their Katy, TX facility.
This position is responsible for ensuring accurate receipt, storage, tracking, and shipment of equipment and materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting operational efficiency. The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering, Sales, Service, and Operations teams to ensure customer requirements are met and warehouse processes run smoothly.
This role is ideal for candidates with warehouse, logistics, inventory control, supply chain, military logistics, shipping/receiving, or distribution experience who thrive in fast-paced environments and take pride in organization, accuracy, and accountability.
Responsibilities
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Inspect incoming materials for damage, shortages, or discrepancies
  • Pick, pack, label, and prepare outgoing shipments
  • Generate shipping documentation including Bills of Lading (BOLs), invoices, and carrier paperwork
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within warehouse management and ERP systems
  • Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Properly identify, tag, and store incoming materials and equipment
  • Maintain organized shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation
  • Coordinate shipments, pickups, and deliveries with vendors and carriers
  • Communicate inventory shortages, overages, and quality concerns to management
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and warehouse equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
  • Support Engineering, Sales, Service, and Operations teams with inventory and logistics needs
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and inventory accuracy
  • Perform additional warehouse and logistics duties as assigned

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3-4+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory control preferred
  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory software, or ERP systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, shipping labels, and inventory reports
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
