Job description

Job Title: Warehouse Receiving Clerk

Position Type: Full-Time


Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and organized Warehouse Receiving Clerk to coordinate incoming shipments and oversee the receiving process. This is a hands-on position requiring strong attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to direct a receiving crew while ensuring all product is properly documented, tagged, and stored.


Responsibilities

  • Schedule inbound appointments with carriers via email and coordinate the daily receiving schedule.
  • Oversee the unloading of trailers and direct the receiving crew throughout the receiving and put-away process.
  • Verify incoming shipments against bills of lading, packing lists, and other shipping documents.
  • Inspect shipments for shortages, overages, or visible damage and accurately sign off on all deliveries.
  • Complete circle sheets, receiving paperwork, and receiving tags.
  • Ensure incoming product is properly labeled and placed into the appropriate warehouse racks or storage locations.
  • Promptly communicate any shipment discrepancies or damage to management.
  • Maintain accurate receiving records and an organized receiving area.
  • Assist with other warehouse responsibilities as needed.


Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse receiving or inventory experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with carriers and vendors by email.
  • Ability to read and understand bills of lading, packing lists, and receiving documents.
  • Experience directing or supervising a warehouse crew is preferred.
  • Basic computer and email skills.
  • Forklift or warehouse equipment experience is preferred.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.


This is a full-time, on-site position.
