Warehouse Receiver - $22 per hour
Purpose of Position
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Receiver to join our team. This role is responsible for receiving and inspecting product deliveries to our warehouse, ensuring accurate inventory records, and organizing products for storage. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-focused, and able to efficiently manage incoming shipments to support the operations of our convenience store chain.
Job Responsibilities
Receiving Shipments
• Receive deliveries of products from vendors, including food, beverages, tobacco, and other inventory items.
• Verify the accuracy of each delivery by checking quantities, product specifications, and delivery documents against purchase orders.
• Inspect shipments for damage, qualify issues or discrepancies, and report any issues to the Warehouse Manager or Purchasing Department.
Inventory Management
• Ensure all incoming products are logged accurately.
• Organize products in the warehouse according to the designated storage locations.
• Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels are accurate and reconcile any discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
• Monitor expiration dates and rotation of perishable goods to maintain product freshness and reduce waste.
Stock Organization & Storage:
• Ensure that products are stored safely and efficiently in the appropriate warehouse areas (e.g,. dry storage, refrigerated storage).
• Follow proper labeling, tagging, and documentation procedures to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ensure that the warehouse is clean, organized, and free of hazards, including maintaining aisles, shelves, and storage areas.
Compliance & Safety
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques, safe operation of warehouse equipment, and cleanliness of the work environment.
• Adhere to all federal, state and local regulations concerning the storage and handling of products, including tobacco and other regulated items.
Reporting and Documentation
• Complete all required paperwork and digital records related to incoming shipments, product receipts, and inventory adjustments.
• Prepare and submit accurate daily reports on received products, inventory levels, and any issues encountered.
Job Qualifications
• Prior warehouse experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in receiving and documenting product deliveries.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or general equivalency degree required
  • Meet minimum requirements on pre-employment testing, drug screening
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to consistently meet minimum production standards and company service levels
  • Ability to read, speak and comprehend the English language
