About This Role

The Shared Services Specialist II role involves collaborating with Child Care Management Systems (CCMS), local Child Care Resource & Referral agencies, and Recruiters to promote and share the Shared Services Model. Primary clients include Family Child Providers (FCC) and centers. As the contact for CCMS and Providers, the Specialist II will facilitate monthly learning communities and track attendance. This position requires effective communication, computer skills, and attention to detail.


What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with local agencies and recruit FCC providers and centers to join Shared Service
  • Manage service use for enrollees, provide support and guidance when needed
  • Represent the Shared Services model at FCC networks and training meetings, fostering connections and understanding
  • Design and disseminate marketing materials, such as flyers and rack cards, to raise awareness and promote the Shared Service
  • Maintain and update the group website, ensuring accuracy and relevance of information
  • Coordinate and assist with demoing various platforms, ensuring a seamless experience for users
  • Host monthly learning and networking sessions with participants, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration
  • Prepare and submit quarterly reports, as well as a final year-end report, providing valuable insights and progress updates
  • Perform other duties as assigned, embracing flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment

Working Conditions: Combination of office environment and outdoor/travel required

Work Hours: Typically 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday โ€“ Friday; duties may require evening and weekend hours.

Equipment Use: Computer and standard office equipment.


Requirements

Mental, Physical, and Communication Demands: Requires relating to people in a friendly and professional manner with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Requires excellent computer and typing ability and the ability to pay close attention to detail. Requires working under minimal supervision.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Possess a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential client information and situations.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and dependable transportation required.
  • Access to high speed internet
  • Understanding of Child Care landscape in Hawaii.
  • Knowledge of DHS Licensing Rules & Regulations

Education and Work Experience:

  • Degree in ECE or related field OR 5 years of experience working in ECE
  • Advanced computer software experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and working knowledge of database applications.
  • Experience with program management.
