PM Kitchen Shift Leader

At Chick-fil-A South Mountain, our goal is to provide best-in-class service to the South Phoenix community through Grit, Guest Obsession and Accountability. About the Kitchen

Our kitchen is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment - the heart of our restaurant. Success here includes speed, accuracy, a detailed focus on cleanliness and food safety, a passion for great-tasting food and expert-level communication. Our goal is to deliver each order to our guest in 4 minutes or less. This order should be accurate to what the guest requested and be fresh.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the PM Kitchen Team, including 8-13 team members (depending on the forecasted volume of the shift).
  • Coach team members and trainers as we strive to deliver Speed, Accuracy, Quality all while maintaining and Clean & Safe Environment.
  • Be able to lift up to 45 lbs and work around and with various types of industrial kitchen equipment.
  • Be a problem solver - maintain a "can-do" attitude and be ready to adjust based on business needs.
  • Be resilient - we get better through coaching and feedback. Learning from even small mistakes makes us better.
  • Be available to work between 32 - 40 hours a week working either 5 days x 8 hour shifts or 4 days x 10 hour shifts until closing at 11:45 PM
  • Drive a culture of food and team member safety by promoting best practices learned in the ServSafe Manager Course.
  • Lead by example - becoming proficient in all rotating kitchen positions.
  • Balance speed and avoidance of waste by ensuring great communication between team members.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of commercial kitchen experience
  • 1+ years of people leadership experience
  • Evening and late night availability as outlined in responsibilities
  • Positive attitude and willingness to put guest needs first
  • ServSafe Manager training not required, but preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish & English) not required, but preferred
  • Previously Chick-fil-A experience not required, but preferred
