The Opportunity

Lonestar Forklift is looking for a customer-oriented Service Dispatcher to join our team in Austin, Texas. As the Service Dispatcher, you will be responsible for the coordination of Service jobs, including scheduling and assigning work to Technicians, and ensuring that services offered meet or exceed the requirements of internal and external customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As the Service Dispatcher, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Scheduling, coordinating, and assigning jobs to Service Technicians
  • Managing new and ongoing work orders using an ERP system
  • Utilizing the service scheduler to prioritize and schedule appointments
  • Communicating with Service and Parts team members to ensure workloads are optimized, and customer needs are managed proactively
  • Managing incoming job leads using established processes
  • Maintaining professional and effective communication with customers
  • Managing the WIP Report and billing for customers, including reviewing invoice proposals for accuracy
  • Ensuring adherence to safety programs and initiatives, and ensuring incident reports are completed when needed

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:

  • Previous work experience related to dispatching or scheduling
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational skills and planning skills
  • A customer-oriented mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple demands in parallel
