We disrupt the security landscape through data-driven risk management, safeguarding critical assets for clients in Financial Services, Bio-Tech, Critical Infrastructure, Higher Education, and Technology & Cloud Infrastructure.

Our work is guided by six core values - Balance, Curiosity, Integrity, Respect, Team, and Trust - and backed by a team that is passionate about protecting what matters most. We move fast, we care deeply, and we do it together.

The Opportunity

The Sr. Telecom Design Engineer will bring deep expertise in ICT infrastructure design across some of the most complex and high-stakes environments in the country. You will serve as a trusted technical authority, translating client requirements into scalable, standards-compliant telecom and ICT design solutions. You bring technical depth, design rigor, and a collaborative mindset.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the design and documentation of ICT infrastructure systems including structured cabling, telecommunications rooms, data centers, and distributed antenna systems (DAS)
  • Develop detailed construction documents, specifications, and design packages in compliance with TIA, BICSI, and applicable codes and standards
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to integrate telecom designs into larger facility and campus projects
  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to inform design requirements and validate existing infrastructure
  • Review contractor submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings for compliance with design intent
  • Support project management activities during construction administration phases, including site visits and punch list walkthroughs
  • Prepare and deliver clear, technically precise reports and presentations for client leadership and project teams
  • Represent ADRM in client meetings with technical credibility and strong professional communication
  • Identify opportunities to enhance design standards and contribute to the development of ADRM’s telecom design practice
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of technical excellence across the Design Services team
Requirements:

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience preferred
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States, with the ability to obtain licensure by comity in additional states as needed
  • Active BICSI RCDD certification or internationally recognized equivalent
  • 8+ years of experience in ICT and telecom infrastructure design, with demonstrated proficiency in producing construction-ready design packages
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM-based design tools for telecom and low-voltage systems
  • Strong working knowledge of TIA-568, TIA-569, TIA-942, BICSI TDMM, and relevant building and electrical codes
  • Experience designing structured cabling, fiber optic systems, telecommunications rooms, IDF/MDF layouts, and DAS or wireless infrastructure in hyperscale environments
  • Familiarity with IT networking fundamentals and how physical layer design intersects with enterprise network architecture
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables with precision and calm under deadline pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - you can translate technical complexity for non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, distributed team
  • Ability to walk long distances during site visits and commissioning

Why ADRM

  • Be part of a forward-thinking firm that is actively reshaping how organizations think about physical security & technology
  • Work alongside a team of experienced professionals who take their craft seriously and support each other
  • ADRM covers 100% of health, dental, and vision insurance premiums for team members AND their dependents - one of the most comprehensive benefits packages in the industry
  • Robust 401(k) plan with a generous company match and profit sharing
  • A culture built on Balance, Integrity, and Trust - not just words on a wall
  • Real opportunity to grow: ADRM is scaling quickly, and we promote from within
