Job description

Are you an experienced manager with a passion for landscape maintenance? Do you have a knack for plant identification and pruning shrubs? Are you experienced in or interested in the operations of a landscaping business and developing the careers of employees? Piscataqua Landscaping is seeking a Maintenance Senior Supervisor to join our team and elevate our team and their work!
The Senior Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for professionally supervising crew members and ensuring that all assignments are completed to Piscataqua standards. In addition, the goal of meeting estimated hours and exceeding client's expectations is expected. This position is a mixed office and field role that will require you to plan and manage work as well as oversee work and develop our employees.
Requirements
  • Supervise the Maintenance Division in Portland and Topsham
  • Plan and schedule work assignments, equipment, and materials for daily work
  • Hold employees accountable to schedules, start times, and company policies
  • Evaluate employee performance through regular work site visits and inspections; document issues; take appropriate corrective action
  • Train new or existing employees to ensure quality and timely work
  • Work collaboratively with crews and account managers to ensure jobs stay within budget and dispatch crews to sites when necessary
  • Highly experienced with plant identification and pruning techniques
  • Demonstrate best practices in work, techniques, communication, and safety protocols carried out by the mow team.
  • Oversee the work of the Supervisors and crews who will report directly to you
  • Take responsibility for making Piscataqua a great place to work for your crews
  • Must have an insurable Driving Record
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment physical, lift up to 50lbs., and push fully loaded wheel barrels
