We are seeking an Equipment Maintenance Supervisor to lead the daily maintenance and reliability activities in our metal fabrication manufacturing operation. This role oversees the maintenance team responsible for maintaining production equipment including laser cutting machines, fabrication equipment, powder coating systems, and assembly machinery.

This position ensures equipment reliability, safety, and preventive maintenance practices that keep production running efficiently and support overall plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily maintenance activities including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repairs
  • Lead and develop a team of maintenance technicians responsible for fabrication, finishing, and assembly equipment
  • Ensure reliable operation of production equipment including laser cutting systems, fabrication machinery, powder coating lines, and automated assembly equipment
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability
  • Support installation, startup, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with production teams to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues
  • Maintain maintenance documentation, work orders, and service records within the CMMS or ERP system
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, reduce downtime, and extend equipment life
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and equipment safety standards
  • Coordinate with external vendors for equipment service, parts procurement, and technical support
  • Train maintenance team members on equipment maintenance procedures and safety practices
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and operations teams to support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
  • Experience supporting metal fabrication or industrial manufacturing equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting ability across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Experience maintaining automated manufacturing equipment and production lines
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and reliability practices
  • Familiarity with CMMS or ERP maintenance systems
  • Technical degree in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or related field preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Bilingual Chinese (Mandarin)/English speaker is highly preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in steel furniture manufacturing is a plus
  • Highly collaborative with a strong, team-oriented mindset
