Rio Hydraulics Service Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Service
    1. conducting service calls,
    2. Inland and/or Offshore majors,
    3. Inland and/or Offshore surveys,
    4. maintaining a high level of communication and service to our customers.
    5. Responsible for equipment and consumables for job and any items to complete the task(s) asked of them.
    6. Responsible for cleanliness of the technician vehicle.
    7. Responsible in helping keeping shop area clean
  2. Project Management:
    1. Work with Hydraulic Supervisor, Branch Manager, Division Manager and/or Office Coordinator on scheduling repair and re-man projects to ensure projects are completed on time.
    2. Responsible for letting the Service Manager know if help is needed on projects to complete the repairs in the allotted time.
  3. Inventory and Recording:
    1. Responsible for making sure that all parts taken from inventory are written down and all paperwork is turned into the Office Coordinator.
    2. Responsible for making sure all parts not used on the job are turned back into Inventory Control Department.

Qualifications

  1. Education
    1. High School or GED Diploma
  2. Practical Experience
    1. TWIC Card
    2. Valid Driver’s License
    3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in marine service industry
    4. Good communications skills
    1. Physical
      1. Ability to lift and carry 50lbs for extended distances
      2. Ability to work in any and all adverse weather conditions
      3. Ability to climb ladders, stairs and gangways up to 25 feet in height
      4. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and work above head for extended periods of time
      5. Ability to operate Rio Marine vehicles in a safe and courteous manner
    2. Personal Background
      1. Must be capable of acquiring valid TWIC
      2. Must have valid drivers license
      3. Must have clean driving record with no DWI convictions
      4. Must pass a criminal background check
      5. Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
    3. Practical Experience
      1. Previous experience in electrical service industry
      2. Good communications skills
      3. Professional manner in dealing with other employees, management and customers
      4. Organizational Skills
      5. Basic mechanical skills
