Senior Controller – Murgado Automotive Group \u007C Miami, FL

Murgado Automotive Group is a growing dealership organization with 29 locations and 25 brands across five states. We are seeking an experienced Senior Controller to provide financial leadership, strengthen controls, and support operational performance across multiple dealerships at our Miami Campus.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end close and financial reporting.
  • Maintain balance sheet integrity and oversee critical reconciliations.
  • Manage and develop dealership accounting teams.
  • Partner with General Managers to improve profitability and control expenses.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with OEM requirements, audits, and internal controls.
  • Drive process improvements and reporting automation using Tekion and Excel.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
  • 8+ years of automotive dealership accounting experience.
  • Controller or Senior Controller experience in a multi-store environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, OEM accounting, floorplan financing, and dealership operations.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and process improvement skills.
  • Tekion experience preferred.
