About Dr. Mobicare

Dr. Mobicare is an innovative and rapidly growing healthcare organization dedicated to delivering high-quality medical services across multiple care settings. As we continue expanding into new markets, we are seeking a hands-on finance leader to oversee the company's accounting and financial operations while helping build scalable processes that support long-term growth. 

Position Summary

The Healthcare Controller will serve as the organization's lead finance professional, partnering directly with executive leadership to oversee all accounting and financial operations. This is a highly hands-on role requiring someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves while providing financial guidance to support strategic business decisions.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in healthcare finance, including medical billing, insurance reimbursement, and revenue cycle management, and understands the unique financial challenges associated with physician practices and multi-location healthcare organizations. This position does not have direct reports but works closely with executive leadership and external accounting, tax, payroll, and financial partners.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial & Accounting Leadership
  • Own all day-to-day accounting and financial operations.

  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Develop budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and executive reporting.

  • Maintain internal controls and financial policies.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and healthcare financial regulations.

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership.

Healthcare Finance & Revenue Cycle Required experience with:
  • Medical billing

  • Revenue cycle management

  • Insurance billing and reimbursement

  • Commercial and government payers

  • Patient co-pays and deductibles

  • Collections and payment reconciliation

  • Denial management and reimbursement optimization

  • Monitor reimbursement trends and identify opportunities to improve collections, reduce denials, and strengthen overall financial performance.

Operational Finance

External Partner Management
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external CPA firms, tax advisors, banking partners, payroll providers, and financial vendors.

  • Coordinate annual audits and tax preparation.

  • Review vendor agreements and recommend cost-saving initiatives.

QualificationsRequired
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • CPA strongly preferred.

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.

  • Healthcare finance experience is required.

  • Extensive medical billing and revenue cycle experience is required.

  • Experience with physician practices, medical groups, ambulatory care, or multi-location healthcare organizations.

  • Strong accounting background including:

    • Financial reporting

    • General ledger

    • Budgeting

    • Forecasting

    • Cash flow management

    • Internal controls

  • Advanced Excel skills.

  • Experience working independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
