Job description

Infotech is seeking a Controller to join our Finance & Accounting leadership team. This role is responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal control frameworks to ensure long-term fiscal stability and compliance.

The Controller serves as a technical expert and department leader, driving data-driven decision-making through rigorous financial oversight and cross-functional collaboration.

What you’ll do

The Finance & Accounting leadership team at Infotech is structured to provide comprehensive oversight of the company’s fiscal health. This position reports to the CFO and works in close alignment with the Sr. Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). While FP&A focuses on forward-looking projections and budgeting, the Controller owns the accounting architecture, audit readiness, and historical financial accuracy. 

Primary ResponsibilitiesAccounting, Operations, and Compliance
  • Direct the daily operations of the Accounting Department, providing guidance, coaching, and performance accountability for staff.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls and GAAP-compliant accounting architectures.
  • Oversee financial operations including treasury, tax, audit, and purchasing functions.
  • Manage the preparation and distribution of consolidated monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
  • Partner with Legal and project leads to determine appropriate revenue recognition and billing strategies for SaaS and professional services.
  • Coordinate with the People Department on payroll and benefits administration.
Financial Reporting and Strategic Advisory
  • Collaborate with Finance leadership on annual planning and long-range forecasting.
  • Provide advisory support for M&A activities, including Quality of Earnings (QofE) assessments and risk validation.
  • Develop financial models and evaluate economic trends to support executive decision-making.
QualificationsYou must have

Bachelor’s degree in related field and 6-8 years’ relevant experience; or master’s degree in related field and 4-6 years’ relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

We’d like you to have
  • Experience leading an accounting function within a SaaS or professional services organization.
  • Previous experience in a Private Equity-backed environment, specifically regarding exit-readiness and the transaction lifecycle.
  • NetSuite experience is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of lifecycle contract administration for software development and SaaS.
  • Proven experience leading accounting workflows for mergers and acquisitions, including the execution of complex business combinations and post-acquisition integration.
