French Prairie Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Scheduling Coordinator with strong communication skills to join our dedicated healthcare team.
French Prairie Nursing and Rehabilitation is part of the Volare Health portfolio, a growing network of skilled nursing and short-term rehabilitation centers across multiple states. As the Scheduling Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring appropriate staffing coverage by developing, implementing, and maintaining effective scheduling processes for our nursing team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and manage nursing staff schedules and all related records
  • Create and post the four-week master schedule in compliance with Hourly Scheduling policies
  • Ensure staffing patterns meet operational and regulatory requirements
  • Adjust staffing based on census changes, call-offs, budget considerations, and approved leaves
  • Process requests for time off, vacation, sick time, and other absences with Director of Nursing approval
  • Track absenteeism and scheduling documentation and keep leadership informed
  • Comply with Resident Rights policies and ensure they are upheld at all times
  • Provide administrative support as assigned (as needed)
Qualifications
  • 1-2+ years of staff scheduling experience (healthcare preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software
  • Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and negotiation abilities
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
