Job description

For more than 120 years, KASCO has been the industry leader in providing quality products, parts, repairs, and service to the meat processing and retail institutional food industries. Our cutting edge products include band saw blades, meat grinder plates and knives, and cutlery. We also offer a vast range of butcher supplies, seasonings, replacement parts, and repair services to grocers, restaurants, and meat, seafood, deli and bakery departments.
Job Summary:
Responsible for developing new and existing distributors and end-users; manage customers to ensure that the Company's wholesale distribution meets revenue and margin goals. Leverage KASCO's Solution Selling process to meet growth plans. Candidate must reside in a major LATAM city, close to a major airport. Travel up to 50%.
Key Responsibilities & Objectives:
  • Prepare/coordinate proposals with the Director of Strategic Account Sales for quality of presentation, content, and pricing logic
  • Execute sales presentations to successfully acquire new business
  • Attend and participate in trade shows
  • Establish strong relationships with all customers
  • Schedule and complete weekly prospecting activities to include cold calling and field canvassing
  • Develop and manage sales materials, presentations, contracts, and pricing
  • Manage pipeline activities, leads, and sales tracking systems; communicate weekly
  • Recommend meaningful solutions based on identified needs; present proposal in a persuasive manner
  • Negotiate effectively with customers and prospects using principles that expand offerings and add unique value that motivates buyers to do business with KASCO
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to meet KASCO Latin America sales goals
  • Coordinate all activities with Sales Director to analyze and manage pricing strategy to meet margin goals
  • Accurately forecast business both monthly and annually
  • Consistently achieve monthly and annual sales and margin targets
  • Participate in the development of new products and associated marketing plan creation/deployment

Background & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of outside sales experience in the MRO/supply house industry strongly preferred; wood processing and/or meat processing industries a plus
  • Solution-based selling or other robust sales methodology/process experience required
  • Distributor and direct account working knowledge required
  • Demonstrated sales experience and interaction with decision makers within an organization
  • Effective negotiation, organization, time management, prospecting, and prioritization skills
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Team player
  • Customer driven
  • Sense of urgency
  • Strong attention to detail with big picture overview
  • Works well under time pressures and deadlines
