Job description

Cyber Security Analyst || Pontiac, MI || Remote

We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst with hands-on experience in SOC operations, threat hunting, detection engineering, or network security engineering.

Responsibilities:
โ€ข Monitor and investigate security alerts and incidents
โ€ข Perform threat hunting and security investigations
โ€ข Develop and improve detection rules and monitoring capabilities
โ€ข Support incident response and remediation efforts
โ€ข Work directly with clients through email, chat, and video meetings
โ€ข Create documentation, reports, and technical recommendations

Requirements:
โ€ข 2+ years of experience in SOC, threat hunting, detection engineering, or network security
โ€ข Experience with SIEM tools and security monitoring
โ€ข Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
โ€ข Knowledge of multiple security domains such as cloud, network, endpoint, incident response, vulnerability management, or threat intelligence
โ€ข Experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash is a plus

Nice to Have:
โ€ข CRISC or SSCP certification
โ€ข SOAR automation experience
โ€ข Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP, and NIST frameworks
โ€ข Experience using AI tools for security research and automation
