Responsibilities
  • Lead Qualification & Response: Promptly respond to inbound leads, qualifying prospects based on fit and coverage needs.)
  • Perform Coverage Reviews, Risk Assessment & Needs Analysis: Gather detailed risk information (operations, exposures, loss history). Evaluate current policies and identify gaps or opportunities for improvement.
  • Quoting & Proposal Development: Work with carriers and internal teams to obtain competitive quotes. Develop clear, customized proposals outlining coverage, pricing, limits, and value.
  • Sales Presentations & Closing: Conduct consultative sales conversations (primarily virtual/phone). Present recommendations, handle objections, negotiate terms, and close new business.
  • Client Relationship Management: Provide strong follow-up and on-boarding. Educate clients on coverage and risk management. Coordinate hand-off to account managers for ongoing service.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain an active pipeline in CRM/AMS systems. Track lead sources, follow-ups, and conversion metrics to meet production goals.
  • Carrier Collaboration: Submit accurate applications and work with underwriters to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with marketing, account managers, and other producers. Provide feedback to improve inbound lead processes.
  • Professional Development: Stay current on commercial insurance products, carrier appetites, and industry trends.

Requirements

Licensing: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license required

Experience:

  • 3+ years of Personal and or Commercial Lines sells experience with small to mid-market accounts
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
