Job description

Surgery Partners is seeking a Compensation Analyst - Physician Practices!
This position is remote.
Compensation System Administration
  • Lead implementation, configuration, and administration of physician compensation management platform
  • Maintain compensation plans, provider profiles, productivity metrics, and reporting tools
  • Ensure data integrity across EHR, practice management, and financial systems
  • Identify opportunities to enhance automation, scalability, and reporting capabilities

Compensation Modeling & Analysis
  • Develop and maintain physician and APP compensation models (productivity-based, hybrid, value-based)
  • Perform financial modeling to support recruitment, compensation changes, and service line growth
  • Ensure alignment with internal policies and regulatory requirements (Stark Law, AKS)
  • Support leadership in evaluating compensation structures and productivity benchmarks

Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Extract, validate, and analyze provider productivity and financial data
  • Build compensation reports using wRVUs, collections, encounters, and incentive metrics
  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies with revenue cycle, IT, and operations teams
  • Develop standardized reports and dashboards to improve compensation transparency

Operational Support & Training
  • Serve as primary compensation system resource for providers and operations leaders
  • Train practice administrators and market leaders on compensation reports and dashboards
  • Provide ongoing support for compensation calculations, reporting, and system functionality

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Compliance, Legal, HR, Finance, and IT on compensation initiatives
  • Support standardization of compensation workflows across physician practices
  • Contribute to enterprise compensation enhancements and best practice initiatives
  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and consistency

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Business Analytics, or related field

Experience
  • 3-5 years in healthcare analytics, physician compensation, healthcare finance, or provider productivity analysis
  • Experience with compensation models and metrics (wRVUs, collections)
  • Experience with EHR or practice management systems
  • Multi-site healthcare organization experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute considerations preferred

Technical Skills
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Large data set extraction, validation, and analysis
  • Physician compensation management software platforms (preferred)
  • SQL, Power BI, or similar analytics tools (preferred)
