Job Description

CP Rankin is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Regional Sales Account Manager to lead business development efforts throughout an assigned territory in Florida. This individual will be responsible for growing revenue, expanding market share, and developing strategic relationships with key commercial customers throughout the Florida region.

The Regional Sales Account Manager will take a consultative approach to understanding customer needs, developing tailored roofing solutions, and managing opportunities from initial engagement through project execution. This role requires a proactive sales professional who is passionate about building long-term relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating across departments to deliver exceptional customer experiences while supporting CP Rankin's continued growth.

Responsibilities1. Business Development & Territory Growth
  • Develop and execute a strategic territory business plan that supports company sales, profitability, and market share objectives.
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities across commercial real estate, property management firms, general contractors, consultants, architects, designers, educational institutions, manufacturing facilities, healthcare organizations, municipalities, and other large commercial property owners.
  • Expand existing customer relationships while actively pursuing new accounts throughout the assigned territory.
  • Develop detailed account strategies and penetration plans for targeted customers.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities through proactive prospecting and relationship development.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed territory sales, profitability, and growth objectives established by executive leadership.
2. Strategic Account Management
  • Develop trusted relationships with property managers, facility directors, building owners, general contractors, asset managers, and other key decision-makers responsible for commercial roofing assets.
  • Understand each customer's business objectives and develop roofing solutions that align with their operational and long-term facility needs.
  • Manage opportunities through the complete sales lifecycleโ€”from initial prospecting and qualification through proposal development, project turnover, and construction execution.
  • Coordinate executive-level meetings between customer leadership and CP Rankin executives when appropriate.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the customer relationship while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
3. Customer Engagement & Industry Leadership
  • Communicate CP Rankin's mission, capabilities, and value through engaging customer meetings, presentations, and consultative discussions.
  • Conduct educational Lunch & Learn presentations and other customer-focused events to strengthen relationships and increase market awareness.
  • Position CP Rankin as a trusted commercial roofing partner by providing knowledgeable recommendations and long-term asset management solutions.
  • Represent CP Rankin at industry trade shows, networking events, association meetings, and customer events.
  • Maintain relationships with architects, consultants, and design professionals while focusing on building direct relationships with commercial property owners and key decision-makers.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities within the commercial roofing industry.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with estimating, operations, project management, and executive leadership to develop and deliver customer solutions.
  • Communicate customer expectations, project requirements, and sales opportunities across internal teams.
  • Collaborate to resolve customer challenges while maintaining an exceptional customer experience.
  • Support company initiatives and contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented culture.
5. Sales Operations & Performance
  • Maintain accurate customer information, sales opportunities, forecasts, and activity within the company's CRM platform.
  • Continuously evaluate territory performance and adjust sales strategies to maximize growth opportunities.
  • Submit timely and accurate sales reports, forecasts, pipeline updates, and activity reports.
  • Track and manage key performance indicators.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful outside B2B sales experience, preferably within the commercial roofing or commercial construction industry.
  • Commercial roofing experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop new business and grow strategic customer relationships within an assigned territory.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex sales opportunities from prospecting through project completion.
  • Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated professional with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience utilizing CRM software (Salesforce or similar preferred).
Additional Requirements
  • Approximately 25% travel throughout the assigned Florida territory.
  • Preferred home office located in East, Central, or West Florida.
  • Professional home office environment.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout the territory.
