Job description

The Outside Sales Account Manager — FlowMark is responsible for maintaining and expanding customer relationships while driving new business. The role manages a portfolio of accounts, develops new opportunities within existing and new customers, and serves as the primary point of contact for all account matters. This position requires regular outside travel to visit customers and prospects (typically 2–3 trips per month). The goal is to ensure high customer satisfaction, grow revenue, and meet or exceed sales targets.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Drive new business and re-engage past customers
  • Meet or exceed sales targets
  • Serve as primary contact for assigned accounts and resolve issues promptly
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support projects
  • Track activities in CRM, report on pipeline/forecast, and provide market feedback
  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitors
  • Participate in sales meetings/training/trade shows and perform other duties as needed
Outside Travel Requirement
  • This is an outside role with regular customer travel; typically, 2–3 trips per month to visit customers.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Proven experience as a Sales Account Manager or similar role within the truck or sanitation/environmental equipment industry.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.

Schedule
  • Standard office hours for this position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • This role typically involves a combination of office work and travel to meet with clients. Above work hours do not apply during travel, trade shows, customer visits, etc.
  • Outside Sales Account Manager occasionally works on time sensitive projects, and it is expected will work any/all hours as required to complete projects as directed (i.e. occasionally, earlier and/or later work hours may be required).
  • Outside Sales Account Manager is expected to monitor emails / phone calls every day and respond even during non-office hours.
  • Although not commonly expected occasional work on Saturdays may be required.
Office Location / Report To:
  • The Outside Sales Account Manager will report to FlowMark’s Director of Sales. The role is preferred to be based in Kansas City, MO, but a remote arrangement may be considered.
SkyMark Refuelers is a market leading manufacturer of custom work trucks serving the aviation refueling, liquid waste removal, hi-rail maintenance, direct-to-locomotive refueling, and refined fuel delivery industries. With its headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri, SkyMark also operates a world-class aviation refueler facility in Findlay, Ohio along with a tank plant in Sullivan, Illinois.
