Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Operations professional based in Netherlands.

This role offers the opportunity to become a key operational partner within a fast-growing, remote-first organisation.
You will work closely with leadership to build the internal systems, processes, and infrastructure that enable sustainable growth.
From people operations and investor coordination to contracts and vendor management, you will oversee critical business functions with high visibility.
The position is designed for someone who thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership, and enjoys solving complex operational challenges.
You will have the autonomy to improve processes, introduce smarter ways of working, and create scalable foundations for the future.
This is a high-impact opportunity to operate close to strategic decisions while helping shape how a global team works and grows.

Accountabilities:

As a Business Operations professional, you will manage the operational backbone of the organisation, ensuring that essential processes run smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with executives and cross-functional stakeholders while handling sensitive information, improving systems, and supporting company growth.

  • Own end-to-end people operations, including onboarding, offboarding, employment documentation, account management, equipment coordination, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Manage HR systems and people operations tools, ensuring accurate records and a reliable source of truth for internal information.
  • Support compensation processes, including salary updates, equity-related documentation, and other employee changes.
  • Build and maintain company culture initiatives, including team rituals, employee experiences, celebrations, and remote team engagement activities.
  • Coordinate company offsites, managing planning, logistics, travel, venues, and agendas from start to finish.
  • Organise board meetings, including scheduling, preparation of materials, documentation, meeting notes, and follow-up actions.
  • Support investor relations by managing communications, documentation requests, and corporate administration.
  • Review vendor and partner agreements, identifying commercial considerations, risks, and opportunities before execution.
  • Manage contract workflows, signatures, stakeholder alignment, and ongoing vendor relationships.
  • Maintain operational reporting requirements with external partners and infrastructure providers.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a highly organised operations professional with experience supporting fast-growing companies and managing complex, high-impact processes. You should be comfortable working with executives, handling confidential information, and building systems from the ground up.

  • 3+ years of experience in operations, corporate administration, legal operations, or similar roles within a high-growth startup environment.
  • Proven experience managing critical processes with strong attention to detail, including contracts, board operations, employee documentation, or company administration.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain consistent follow-through.
  • Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential information such as compensation data, company records, and strategic documents.
  • Ability to understand business agreements, identify key commercial considerations, and know when to involve legal experts.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on improving processes, identifying risks early, and finding practical solutions.
  • Strong interest in automation and using AI tools to streamline repetitive operational work.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across different time zones within a global remote team.
  • Comfortable working independently, making decisions, and operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package of $150K-$180K, including equity opportunities.
  • Fully remote work environment with flexibility across North America and Europe time zones.
  • High level of ownership and visibility, working closely with leadership on strategic initiatives.
  • Opportunity to build operational systems and processes from an early stage.
  • Exposure to key business functions, including board operations, partnerships, people operations, and company strategy.
  • Collaborative environment with high standards and a strong focus on impact.
  • Opportunity for professional growth within a rapidly scaling organisation.
