Job description

Position Title: Receiving Clerk (aka CRT Clerk)
Department: Receiving
Supervisor: Receiving Manager(s)
FLSA: Non-exempt
Position Summary:
Works closely with the Receiving Manager/Supervisor to ensure efficient operation of the Receiving Department. Responsible for maintaining accurate records of receiving related transactions. Follows-up and maintains that the Receiving Manager/Supervisor is aware of activities and discrepancies.
Essential Functions:
  1. Helps schedule and monitors deliveries
  2. Communicates efficiently and concisely over the phone, in person and through e-mail
  3. Accurately inputs a high volume of information into the computer concerning incoming and outgoing merchandise in a timely manner
  4. Checks and records the quantity of the merchandise for conformity to purchase orders and specifications
  5. Records and reports of shortages and discrepancies
  6. Ensures friendly, efficient and professional customer service
  7. Assist with labeling incoming pallets
  8. Pro-active and self-motivated

Other Responsibilities:
  1. Performs other work-related duties as required and assigned

Education, Experience and Skills Required:
  1. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, vendors and buyers
  2. Computer Literate
  3. Familiarity with Excel
