INVENTORY CLERK JOB DESCRIPTION

Inventory Clerk is responsible for examining and inspecting all incoming items to be inventoried. They record inventory items into the company inventory program, verify stock by comparing them to physical counts and adjust errors.  They operate industrial equipment to transport inventory, unload incoming stock and load outbound orders.   They audit stock and perform cycle counts of existing inventory.

The Inventory clerk objective is to maintain daily warehouse inventory operations and assist in maintaining a clean and safe warehouse

INVENOTRY CLERK RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Inspect and verify received items.

·        Enter inventory accurately and efficiently.

·        Ensure all inventoried materials are put away accurately.

  • Perform other job-related duties (e.g., pulling parts), as needed

INVENTORY CLERK QUALIFICATIONS

Potential candidates must have 1 year or more of inventory experience.

Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others are essential. Strong math, organizational, and computer skills are required. Experience with warehouse inventory software is required. The company is looking for a self-starter who works well with minimal supervision.

INVENTORY CLERK PHYSICAL DEMANDS.

The ability to remain in a stationary position roughly 50% of the time, as well as the ability to move about the warehouse is required. Using a computer while standing for extended periods is common; must also be able to lift and move materials when necessary.

Occasional heavy lifting (50+ lbs.) may be required.  Good manual dexterity required to use common office equipment (e.g., computers, mobile devices, calculators, copiers, scanners).

Warehouse hours are 7:30 am – 4:00 pm Monday through Friday
