Inventory Clerk
JBS is seeking an hourly Inventory Clerk Team Member! Position starts at $22.50 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assumes responsibility for the accurate and timely performance of inventory/general accounting functions.
    • Performing cycle counts on items daily and record counts.
    • Maintains inventory tracking spreadsheets for use within the company.
    • Assists with the receipt of inventory items into warehouse management system and excel spread sheets.
    • Reconcile receipts before posting.
    • Performs accounting duties in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
  • Assumes responsibility for effectively researching, tracking, and resolving (or properly referring) accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
    • Researches and resolves production yield problems.
    • Research and resolves inventory discrepancies regarding production.
    • Maintains and projects the company's professional reputation.
  • Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with company personnel and with management.
    • Assists personnel as needed to count, distribute items for production use.
    • Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
    • Maintains regular contact with other departments to obtain information and/or to correct transactions.
    • Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
    • Performs general accounting duties as needed.
    • Maintains confidentiality.
    • Completes special projects as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent certification
  • Additional bookkeeping courses preferred
  • Familiarity with SAP and spreadsheets
  • At least two years of previous cycle counting, inventory control processes experience preferred
  • Fluent in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook. Operate a computer and ability to input data and generate reports.
  • Knowledge of Company policies regarding inventory and purchasing
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Preferred forklift experience
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
  • Strong math skills
  • Must be well-organized with good attention to detail
  • Display strong work ethics and positive attitude
  • Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work cooperatively with others
  • Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, instructions and to deal with problems involving a few different variables.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Additional qualifications as needed

Schedule
Monday-Friday with weekends when needed 4:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Work Environment
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
  • Must be able to frequently, lift, twist, bend and regularly use wrists, hands, or fingers.
  • Average, ordinary visual acuity is necessary to prepare or inspect documents, products, or operate machinery.
  • Must be able to exert 10 lbs. of force frequently throughout the day.
  • The work environment may include cold and/or hot temperatures. It may also require the use of sharp tools such as knives.
