General Summary

Daily Instruments is seeking an experienced Packing/Shipping Clerk to join our rapidly growing manufacturing team. This position will assist with shipping duties for all company needs, as well as distribution of inbound packages. Packing/Shipping Clerks are responsible for working in a cohesive team environment to ensure all shipments (domestic & international) are shipped in compliance with customer requirements. The successful Packing/Shipping Clerk will ensure that assigned tasks are completed safely, in strict compliance with ISO & QA requirements, and in a timely basis to meet shipping requirements.


This is a Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt in a production shop environment.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Packing/Shipping Clerks perform tasks that are necessary to the production process.
  • Carry out assembly day-to-day work instructions to ensure accurate and timely shipments
  • Read and understand shipping instructions.
  • Work with various couriers/carriers (domestic and international)
  • Build crates, pallets, or skids and box and package orders to eliminate damage of shipment
  • Receiving inbound shipments of all incoming parts, materials and components. Enter received data into computer system to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed


Job Qualifications:

  • Team Work orientation
  • Basic understanding of shop math
  • Dependable and Reliable production orientation
  • Working knowledge of hand power tools, and other hand-held tools
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds

• Full-Time.

• On-Site, In-Person in a dynamic manufacturing environment

• will be assigned to either production first shift or second shift

• Will work closely with logistics and or production teams

• Reports to Production shift supervisor.

Physical Demands:

This is a physically active position, which requires the physical ability to work in a busy shop/warehouse environment including

Prolonged standing/walking

Lifting/moving up to 50 pounds frequently, or up to 100 pounds occasionally

Ability to physically work, walk, maneuver in a crowded, busy, dynamic work environment

This position is considered shop/indoor work; but will also work in outdoor loading dock area

Flexibility and availability to work additional work hours to meet shipping goals

Climate-controlled facility all year round but must be willing to work outdoors, as well
