Receiving Clerk Job Description

Ensures the proper unloading of product from trailers on the receiving docks.ย  Ensures product is properly tagged for movement.ย 
Receiving Clerk Job Responsibilities:

  • Verifies materials against a physical packaging that arrives with the raw materials.ย 
  • Place Inbound shipment tags on each individual pallet/ rack/ container for traceability purposes.ย ย 
  • Place batch tags on material after SAP receipts are posted.ย ย 
  • Communicates damage to stock, trailers, or building to the Supervisor.ย ย 
  • Documents and communicates shortages and overages to direct lead. Marks inbound bolder with red thumb sticker to heighten awareness of overages/ shortages for the clerk.ย 
  • Follows proper receiving procedures for indoor storage.ย 
  • Document and communicate physical location of all raw materials per trailer to the receiving clerk.ย 
  • Work alongside a receiving HILO driver to sustain department 5S principles.ย 
  • Keeps work area neat and in order at all times.ย 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.ย 

Receiving Clerk Job Requirements:

  • Valid operatorโ€™s license for hi-loย
