A QAPI (Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement) Manager is a healthcare professional responsible for overseeing and implementing quality improvement programs within healthcare organizations, such as hospitals or nursing homes. Their main role is to ensure that care and services meet required standards by analyzing data, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to enhance patient outcomes. They also ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and may lead staff training on quality initiatives. The QAPI Manager works closely with other healthcare staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
