Position Summary:

Compassionate and organized Hospice Volunteer/Bereavement Manager to oversee our volunteer and bereavement program. The successful candidate will recruit, train, and support volunteers who provide emotional and practical support to patients and families facing terminal illness. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Volunteer Program Development
        - Recruit, screen, and train volunteers to meet organizational needs.
        - Develop and implement volunteer retention strategies.
  • Volunteer Supervision and Support
        - Provide ongoing support, guidance, and feedback to volunteers.
        - Conduct regular check-ins and evaluations.
  • Patient and Family Support
        - Ensure volunteers understand and adhere to patient and family needs.
        - Facilitate communication between volunteers, patients, and healthcare teams.
  • Administrative Tasks
        - Maintain accurate volunteer records and databases.
        - Manage volunteer schedules, assignments, and timekeeping.
