Job Description
The Commercial Purchasing Manager participates in all aspects of purchasing and inventory management for brands and divisions as assigned. The Commercial Purchasing Manager will lead and supervise Purchasing Specialists. With the guidance of the Sr. Director of Domestic Purchasing, this role is responsible for executing purchasing management while staying in compliance with departmental & organizational objectives and goals
What You'll Do
  • Manage purchasing processes including buying and distribution of goods
  • Monitor and forecast inventory and demand levels ensuring stocking levels are maintained, ordered on time, and adjusted as needed to sustain optimal inventory stock
  • Drive improvements while keeping a focus on KPI's including but not limited to out of stocks, fill rates, inventory turns, & aged inventory
  • Review and maintain accurate purchase order data including delivery dates, current cost, lead times, vendor confirmations and other real time purchasing data
  • Supervise Purchasing Specialists and effectively manage and communicate with team
  • Lead and execute purchasing strategies as defined by the organization and evolving business needs
  • Prepare and maintain purchasing & inventory reports as needed
  • Prepare and review purchase orders as required
  • Work closely with key suppliers to support a strong supply chain and maintain successful relationships while ensuring delivery and quality issues are resolved timely
  • Assist merchandising team with promotions, new stocking request, updated price sheets, and vendor communications
  • Adhere to purchasing processes and procedures
  • Support department and other key stakeholders with purchasing and inventory initiatives
  • Support and complete other task and projects as assigned
