This role is responsible for managing vendor relationships, negotiating pricing, and ensuring timely, cost-effective purchasing of materials, equipment, and services. The Purchasing Manager plays a critical role in maintaining project profitabilityespecially for reconstruction jobsby aligning purchasing strategies with budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Source, evaluate, and onboard new vendors to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to maximize cost savings and support gross profit goals
  • Create, review, and track purchase orders to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of materials
  • Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and operations teams to align purchasing with project scopes and budgets
  • Monitor material costs and market trends to proactively manage expenses
  • Support gross profit targets on reconstruction jobs through strategic purchasing and cost control
  • Resolve vendor issues, including delays, quality concerns, and billing discrepancies
