Job description

Hiring experienced Purchasing Associate to support growth of Strathmore, a multi-state flooring, cabinet, design and paint company headquartered in Atlanta.

Duties include purchasing materials, managing stock levels, following up on purchase orders and resolving return, claims and billing issues as needed.

The position requires the ability to handle multiple tasks, problem-solving skills and a strong customer service orientation.

In addition, successful candidates will have:

  • High school diploma or GED, with 2+ years’ related purchasing experience, knowledge of residential construction industry and flooring products a definite plus
  • Strong keyboard abilities (typing minimum 55 wpm).
  • Well-developed grammatical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
  • Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
