This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working both independently and as part of a collaborative team, is eager to learn, and wants to grow in federal proposal development and business operations. In the Federal Government space, a proposal is a response to a request from the government for services or support. Proposals enable the government to evaluate companies, and strong submissions can lead to new business being awarded to the company.

What you'll do: 

  • Review government requests for contractor services and help identify what information is being asked for, when it is due, and what the team needs to prepare in response.
  • Support the development of proposals and related documents for Federal Government opportunities.
  • This includes helping prepare written responses, supporting materials, and submission documents that show the company's experience, qualifications, and approach for potential clients.
  • Help organize, edit, format, and review proposal content for clarity, accuracy, consistency, and compliance
  • Assist with proposal sections such as management approaches, resumes, and past performance/corporate experience writeups
  • Coordinate with internal contributors to collect information, track assignments, and keep deliverables moving on schedule
  • Work closely with program managers, subcontractors, subject matter experts, and other team members across the company

Qualifications:

  • Must be familiar with AI tools or experience using AI to support research, drafting, editing, organization, or workflow efficiency
  • Must hold strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
  • Must have an exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work
  • Must have strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Should have the ability to follow directions, work with deadlines, and keep track of moving parts across a project
  • Should have a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
  • Must have the exceptional collaboration and follow-up skills when working with teammates across functions capabilities
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe products
  • Must hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required, or a Master's degree is a preferred (Concentration preferred: English, Writing, Communications, etc.).
  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent writing skills and the ability to understand technology and solution-based concepts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of Adobe PDF file manipulation and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong ability to work with and format Word and PowerPoint templates.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
