Job Title: Project Management Analyst II (Systems & Portfolio Operations)
Role Overview
We are seeking a structured, analytical, and versatile Project Management Analyst II to support the planning, tracking, and execution of complex, moderate-to-large-scale enterprise projects. In this role, you will apply standardized project management methodologies to monitor work progress, analyze portfolio risks, and provide actionable insights to project leadership.
This is a high-impact operational role for a professional who thrives in a matrix environment, bridging the gap between project execution and enterprise data systems. You will be responsible for translating project data into strategic transparency, managing dependencies, and ensuring that project timelines remain aligned with corporate goals. Key Responsibilities
Project Governance & Planning
• Lifecycle Management: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle for projects of moderate scope and complexity, ensuring compliance with established project management standards.
• Progress Oversight: Track work progress against established baselines, providing regular updates to leadership and facilitating internal reviews upon project milestones.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify project risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks; develop mitigation strategies to ensure consistent delivery.
Data Analysis & Systems Integration
• SAP & Enterprise Systems: Serve as a subject matter expert in SAP-integrated project environments, ensuring accurate data entry, reporting, and systems alignment.
• Analytical Reporting: Utilize enterprise project management and resource scheduling tools alongside Excel to perform complex data analysis, portfolio tracking, and status reporting.
• Process Standardization: Apply rigorous project management analysis to improve workflow efficiency, data accuracy, and reporting clarity.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
• Matrix Environment: Operate effectively within a complex matrix organization, coordinating activities across cross-functional teams to drive shared project goals.
• Stakeholder Support: Partner with project managers and business leads to provide the analytical foundation required for data-driven decision-making.
• Site Coordination: Participate in site visits or field office interactions as needed to support project deliverables (travel is limited to <10>
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Experience Baseline: Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in project management, business analysis, or portfolio operations.
• Technical Mastery:
oProven experience navigating SAP for project accounting, resource tracking, or portfolio management.
oHands-on proficiency with enterprise project management and resource scheduling platforms.
oAdvanced Excel skills (data modeling, report generation, and complex formulas).
• Core Competencies: Demonstrated ability to manage risks and dependencies; proven success working within a matrixed organizational structure; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent written and verbal communication.
Preferred Attributes
• Prior experience in construction, engineering, or heavy industrial project environments.
• Ability to work independently with general guidance, but capable of escalating issues to leadership when necessary.
