Position Description

The Project Analyst holds primary responsibility for managing the triage, intake, and governance processes for new project requests originating from internal teams at Applied Medical. The Project Analyst establishes and maintains key performance indicators (KPIs) and project financials to monitor the health of individual projects, programs, and the broader Corporate Applications portfolio. This role requires consistent engagement with internal stakeholders to ensure all requests are thoroughly addressed through collaborative effort and reliable follow-through. Professionals with backgrounds in project analysis, project controls, portfolio management, business analysis, or IT governance will find this role a strong fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the project management team with multiple aspects of project controls, including financial tracking, schedule monitoring, and overall project and program health reporting.
  • Generate financial reports and updates for leadership that communicate project financial status, budget variances, and performance against established targets.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and provide decision support to address specific challenges or opportunities within the project portfolio as they arise.
  • Collaborate with Applied Medical team members across functions to ensure project requests are thoroughly addressed and stakeholder needs are met with consistent follow-through.

Success in This Role Looks Like

  • Maintaining an organized, well-governed intake process that gives leadership clear visibility into incoming project requests and portfolio-wide priorities.
  • Delivering accurate and timely financial reports and KPI updates that enable informed decision-making at the project, program, and portfolio level.
  • Building reliable working relationships with internal stakeholders that support responsive communication, quick issue resolution, and strong alignment on project objectives.
  • Producing project documentation and reports that consistently meet established deadlines and reflect a high standard of accuracy and completeness.
  • Identifying patterns across the project portfolio that surface opportunities for process improvement, better resource allocation, or enhanced governance practices.
  • Demonstrating thorough follow-through on all open requests and action items, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks across a broad and active project portfolio.

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:
