Job description

The Role:

As the Engineering Administrator, you will join our Design Engineering team and be responsible for administration of the Engineering Change Process. Performs any combination of clerical duties requiring general knowledge and application of various work methods and procedures that may be complex.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Administers theEngineering Change Process. Including managing EC's through receipt, datainput, distribution, follow-up, approvals, implementation, and release.
  • Works withEngineering Change Coordinators at the other facilities to manage multi-plantEC's.
  • Maintainsengineering records and understands the engineering record retention policy.Responsible for document scanning, archiving, and retrieval.
  • Maintainsdatabase files for document archival and retrieval.
  • AssistsEngineering with projects supporting product data.
  • Documentcontrol coordinator responsible for locating, scanning and distributingrequired documents. Understands document distribution policies and limitations.
  • Locates andattaches appropriate file to correspondence to be answered by manager/engineer.
  • Assists managerin some administrative details and projects.
  • Chartsengineering metrics, based on statistics compiled, for reference by EngineeringManagement.
  • Assists in themaintenance/support of the Engineering Library.
  • AssistsEngineering Managers with processes and procedures.
  • Other duties asassigned through identified and established process improvements.
  • May be requiredto cross train and demonstrate competency on all essential job functions of thedepartment.
  • Maintenance ofa clean and orderly work area free of excess materials.
  • Support of andinvolvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures,programs and activities.

Requirements:

  • High schooldiploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months relatedexperience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education andexperience.
  • Must haveknowledge of a variety of computer software applications, including wordprocessing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software. Personal Computerand word processor skills including but not limited to: Word, Excel,PowerPoint, and JDE.
  • Work requirescontinual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofreading materials,establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. 
  • Ability to readand comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Goodverbal and written communication skills are necessary. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, ordiagram form.
  • Ability to add,subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to work on-site in Ogden, UT five days a week.
