Job description

The Ford Agency is actively recruiting for a smart and organized individual to join the professional development team at a prestigious DC law firm. The Assistant will support the attorney onboarding and orientations process, bar renewals, and mentorship program. The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of administrative experience in a professional environment. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in legal professional development that offers career growth!

Responsibilities Include:
• Coordinate attorney onboarding, including welcome communications, scheduling orientations, and other logistics to ensure a smooth transition
• Monitor and document development milestones for legal staff including onboarding, discussions about development, and readiness for promotion
• Assist with bar renewals, bar payments, tracking bar membership statuses
• Coordinate the mentoring program, including coordinating welcome lunches and aiding in mentor pairings
• Assist with other projects and professional development initiatives

Qualifications Include:
• Bachelor's degree
• 1+ years of administrative experience in a professional environment
• HR or Professional Development experience a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team
• Ability to multi-task with strong customer service skills
• Experience with Workday or ViRecruit a plus

Compensation:
• $57,000 - $71,000 annually

Candidates for this position must be based in DC, MD, or VA area or have independent plans for relocation.
