At EXP, we're driven to provide innovative solutions for the world's built and natural environments. As a team of engineers, architects, designers, scientists, creators and a community of professionals, we bring diverse and talented people together to solve the world's most complex challenges. Here, you join a team that leverages differences, harnesses their entrepreneurial spirit in an employee-owned company, that believes diversity is what gives us strength, seeks sustainable results and shares ambitions for each other, our clients and the communities we are part of and serve. To be a part of EXP means to have your own experience, while staying connected to a global network of professionals, who believe we are a part of something bigger. Together, we are EXP.

Are you ready to design your future?

Be our next Marketing & Business Development Assistant!

Your work environment at EXP

We are looking for a motivated early-career professional to join our Regional Marketing  team on an 18-month contract. This role is ideal for a recent graduate who has gained some hands-on experience through internships, co-op programs, or an initial full-time role, and is looking to grow their career in the AEC industry.  If you love digging into opportunities, creating polished content, and keeping things organized, this is your role.

You'll play a key part in supporting our regional operations and marketing teams by identifying business development opportunities, managing email communications, producing high-quality marketing materials and supporting proposal development. You'll work closely with subject matter experts, project managers, and marketing coordinators across the regional teams.

This is an ideal role for someone who's looking for growth, takes initiative and is eager to learn. This role is your entry point into AEC marketing and proposal coordination, where you'll build the foundational skills that lead to Proposal Coordinator and beyond.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

Business Development & Opportunity Research

  • Research tender sites daily (Merx, Bids & Tenders, Ariba) to identify new opportunities
  • Monitor and manage the BD Opportunities and One@EXP inboxes, addressing inquiries, downloading documents, and providing timely support
  • Issue bulletins, track addenda, and maintain opportunity status on SharePoint

Content Development & Document Management

  • Develop, organize, track, and maintain resumes, project sheets, and boilerplate content
  • Format documents using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint (Adobe InDesign skills are a strong asset)
  • Manage revisions through version control and maintain brand compliance

Marketing Support

  • Provide updated resumes and project sheets to support active proposals
  • Review documents for accuracy, consistency, and branding compliance
  • Collaborate with regional marketing teams to obtain and exchange information

Tech & Tools

  • Work daily in SharePoint, Deltek Vantagepoint and Microsoft Suite
  • Own your file management, keeping things clean, current, and easy to find

What your experience looks like

  • College diploma or university degree

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience, ideally within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Consulting) or professional services industry

  • Previous experience through internships, co-op placements, or full-time roles supporting marketing, business development, or proposal coordination

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences

  • Experience supporting proposals, reports, presentations, or marketing collateral is considered an asset

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • Experience using InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite, and AI tools (including Microsoft Copilot) to enhance your work is considered an asset

Why This Role?

Eighteen months gives you real time to make this role yours. One morning you're scanning Merx for new RFPs, by the afternoon you're formatting a resume or developing a project sheet. You'll build relationships across the business and develop skills that set you up for what's next.

If this sounds like your kind of role, we'd love to hear from you!

This job posting is for an existing position vacancy within our organization.

The salary range for this role is between $50K - $65K. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
