Summary
CHS Inc. has an exciting opportunity to join our Supply Chain Planning & Execution organization as an Production Scheduler supporting the Oilseeds Processing product lineThis critical position has ownership of detailed production schedules and loading plans to efficiently meet customer demand, maximize asset utilization and manage costs. This role will deliver value to CHS ensuring strong supply chain execution and a smooth flow of transactions in the system of record. Daily core duties include managing the daily production schedule and mitigating supply chain risks and disruptions. This individual will conduct moderately complex supply chain scheduling activities and is also expected to have a close working relationship with key members of the trading, transportation, operations, and finance teams. This is a hybrid role with an expectation of 3 days in office at Inver Grove Heights and rotational holiday and weekend coverage (typically one weekend per month, approx. 2 hrs/day . Responsibilities
  • Manage and optimize the detailed production schedule using SAP PPDS and other tools
  • Maintain an accurate logistics loading plan to ensure a high level of customer service and optimal asset utilization
  • Partner with stakeholders in operations, transportation, customer service, planning and trading to manage supply chain risks and disruptions
  • Support the resolution of supply chain issues such as production delays that may influence on-time delivery
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for supply chain scheduling
  • Help implement and maintain enabling technologies for the scheduling process, including scheduling tools and systems, process automations and AI capabilities
  • Manage the flow of transactions in SAP to ensure a high level of accuracy
  • Perform inventory transactions and reconciliations in SAP, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed
  • Provide weekend and holiday coverage on a rotating basis with other team members

Minimum Qualifications (required)
  • 2+ years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain and/or Procurement
  • High School diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience in production scheduling or supply planning using modern supply chain technologies, especially PPDS or similar products
  • Experience in SAP S4 ERP
  • Strong attention to detail and capacity to troubleshoot and resolve supply chain and ERP issues
  • Communication skills for working cross-functionally in a matrixed environment
  • Knowledge of best practices for supply chain continuous improvement, such as Lean
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams/SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of robotic process automations (RPAs), such as Power Automate, and AI agents for automating workflows and planning processes
