How much do product advisor jobs pay per year?

As of Jul 2, 2026, the average yearly pay for product advisor in the United States is $110,982.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $46,500.00 and $164,000.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

How much do product specialists get paid?

Product specialists typically earn between $40,000 and $70,000 annually, depending on experience, industry, and location. Entry-level roles may start lower, while experienced specialists or those in technical fields can earn higher salaries, often supplemented with product knowledge and customer service skills.

What jobs in the US pay 300,000 a year?

Product Advisors typically do not earn $300,000 annually; high-paying roles in the US that reach this level include specialized executive positions such as Chief Executive Officers, Chief Financial Officers, and certain medical specialists like surgeons and anesthesiologists. Additionally, top-tier investment bankers, corporate lawyers, and technology executives can earn $300,000 or more with experience and bonuses. These roles often require advanced degrees, extensive experience, and leadership responsibilities.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Product Advisor, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Product Advisor, you need in-depth product knowledge, strong sales acumen, and typically a background in customer service or retail. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, customer relationship management (CRM) tools, and sometimes specific product certifications is beneficial. Exceptional communication, active listening, and problem-solving skills help build trust and rapport with customers. These skills are vital for delivering tailored recommendations, driving sales, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a competitive marketplace.

How does a Product Advisor typically collaborate with sales and development teams to enhance customer satisfaction?

Product Advisors play a key role in bridging the gap between customers, sales, and development teams. They gather and analyze customer feedback, share insights with the product development team, and help sales staff understand product features and benefits. This collaboration ensures that customer needs are addressed in both product design and sales strategies, leading to improved customer satisfaction. Product Advisors often participate in cross-functional meetings and provide training or support to ensure everyone is aligned on product updates and customer expectations.

What are Product Advisors?

Product Advisors are professionals who help customers make informed decisions about purchasing products or services. They possess in-depth knowledge about the products they represent and provide guidance based on customers' needs, preferences, and budgets. Product Advisors often work in retail, technology, automotive, or financial sectors, and their main goal is to ensure customer satisfaction while driving sales. They may also handle product demonstrations, answer technical questions, and assist with after-sales support.

What is the difference between Product Advisor vs Sales Associate?

AspectProduct AdvisorSales Associate
Required CredentialsKnowledge of products, customer service skillsBasic sales skills, customer interaction
Work EnvironmentRetail stores, showrooms, electronics or appliance storesRetail settings across various industries
Employer & Industry UsageUsed in electronics, appliances, and specialty storesCommon across retail sectors like apparel, electronics, and more
Search & Comparison IntentUnderstanding product expertise and customer guidance rolesGeneral retail sales roles and customer service

Product Advisors focus on providing detailed product knowledge and personalized customer assistance, often requiring specific product expertise. Sales Associates handle broader sales tasks, including customer interactions and transactions. While both roles involve customer service in retail environments, Product Advisors typically have more specialized product knowledge, making them ideal for technical or high-end products.

What jobs pay 4000 a week without a degree?

Product Advisor roles typically do not pay $4,000 a week without significant experience or commission-based earnings. High-paying jobs that can reach this level without a degree often include sales positions such as real estate agents, insurance brokers, or financial services representatives, which rely on commissions and sales skills. These roles may require licensing or certifications but not necessarily a college degree.

What does a product advisor do?

A product advisor assists customers by providing information about products, helping them select items that meet their needs, and answering questions about features and benefits. They often work in retail or sales environments, using product knowledge and communication skills to enhance the customer experience.

Job description

Product Advisor

Evergreen Subaru in Auburn is growing fast! Forget everything you think you know about car dealerships. We have. Evergreen Subaru is an innovative, progressive dealership that works hard to create and maintain a positive and productive workplace culture. We're looking for a creative, curious, professional and passionate people person to join our team. We are ready to train from the ground up!

As a Product Advisor, you help create the energy and excitement around Subaru vehicles, helping find the perfect model for each customer's needs. You understand that first and foremost, Evergreen Subaru is dedicated to delivering a customer service experience that is unlike any other. It starts with you actively listening to customers' needs. And then matching those needs with the right vehicle. Every interaction is an opportunity for you to go the extra mile and turn a guest into a loyal Evergreen Subaru customer.

You are responsible for engaging showroom guests to learn about their needs, then following through with options and solutions. And while we're deeply passionate about Subarus, we also have a large fleet of pre-owned vehicles of all models to help meet all customers' needs. You are the first person customers meet when they enter the store, and you're also the person who guides them - advising, selling, and ensuring their lifelong happy customer experience.

Key qualifications:

  • A passionate and energetic people-person, who gets excited about meeting and helping customers and who is an empathetic and active listener.
  • A curious learner who continues to absorb and seek out new information to expand his/her product knowledge. (No car knowledge or sales experience is required. We'd delighted to train the right person).
  • Strong communication skills that let you converse freely and comfortably in person, over the phone and through email follow-up.
  • A stickler for managing details and process.
  • An appreciation of the Subaru brand and its commitment to creating lasting, high-quality products and improving the community around us.

We have just what you need:

  • Flexible schedules (4 or 5 day work week available!)
  • Competitive pay
  • Fun perks & Generous discount
  • Paid training

This full-time position comes with full benefits including insurance, paid time off, birthdays off, and a 401(k) plan.

Evergreen Subaru provides a supportive and friendly atmosphere. We are an equal opportunity employer, and we encourage women and people from different backgrounds to apply. We are looking to hire inwardly motivated, driven individuals to help us grow our business and share in our cherished culture of community, integrity, customer satisfaction, and quality. It is a very exciting time to join Evergreen Subaru, as we just moved into a brand new, expanded, state of the art Subaru dealership in Auburn.
