Job description

Job Summary

We are hiring a Pre-Production & Shop Assistant to support both the production floor and pre-production workflow. This role is critical in making sure every order is properly prepared, organized, and ready for printing before it hits the press.

You’ll work closely with our production team to keep jobs moving, reduce errors, and ensure smooth daily operations.

This is an excellent position for someone who enjoys hands-on work, is highly organized, and wants to learn the screen printing/production process from start to finish.


Key Responsibilities

Pre-Production Support

  • Review incoming orders and job paperwork for accuracy
  • Assist production (making screens, garment layout, ink mixing and folding completed shirts)
  • Help stage jobs so they are ready for press operators
  • Assist with prep tasks

Shop & Production Support

  • Keep production areas clean, organized, and efficient
  • Help move garments, supplies, and completed orders through the shop
  • Assist press operators and production staff during busy runs
  • Fold, pack, count, and organize finished apparel
  • Support general shop flow

General Duties

  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail at all times
  • Communicate clearly with the production team
  • Follow daily priorities and assist wherever needed
  • Help reduce bottlenecks in production workflow


What We’re Looking For

  • Strong attention to detail (this is critical)
  • Organized and dependable
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to lift boxes of at least 50 pounds and be on your feet during the day
  • Ability to work in hot environments
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Willingness to learn screen printing/embroidery production
  • Prior print shop, warehouse, or production experience is a plus (not required)


Preferred (Not Required)

  • Experience in screen printing, embroidery, or apparel production
  • Familiarity with job tracking or production systems
  • Basic understanding of garment types and order handling


Schedule

Part to Full-time, Monday–Friday
Between 7am-3pm (with occasional flexibility during peak production times)

Hourly pay based on experience
