Pre-production is the planning phase of a film, TV show, or media project that takes place before actual filming or recording begins. During pre-production, tasks such as scriptwriting, casting, budgeting, location scouting, scheduling, and securing equipment are completed. This stage is crucial for ensuring that the production runs smoothly and stays within budget and timeline constraints. Pre-production also involves assembling the production team and creating storyboards or shot lists. Effective pre-production sets the foundation for a successful project.
