Job Description:
The Human Resources Business Partner, Operations and R&D provides effective counsel and operational support to Executive Leadership and functional teams to align business goals with the One Kinetico vision and strategy. The role is instrumental in embedding organizational effectiveness, leading change, and facilitating employee development. In addition, the role provides functional expertise as a coach and trusted advisor to leaders, managers and supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interprets business partner challenges and, using internal and external resources, recommends best practices to align workforce capabilities with business goals. Collaborates cross-functionally to recommend policies and implement procedures that ensure the organization functions fairly and equitably. Develops strong relationships with business partners and establishes operational plans to support their requirements. Oversees implementation of the plan through the deployment and collaboration of people operations staff. Leads local people operations staff in development and implementation of initiatives. Partners with leaders to proactively assess, develop, and retain talent. Advises and assists managers, supervisors, and other appropriate leaders on employee performance issues and actions. Mediates and investigates employee relations issues seeking prompt and fair resolutions. Successfully executes and manages the annual performance, succession, and merit review processes for the business partners in collaboration with people operations team members. Communicates the company's human resources policies and programs to employees, leaders, and managers. Collaborates with the people operations team to ensure the proper and effective onboarding of company employees. Promotes a positive and engaging work environment by maintaining open lines of communication. Analyzes metrics associated with workforce effectiveness. Recommends and follows through on actions to resolve out of scope results. Responsible for managing, overseeing, and reporting critical metrics associated with workforce and business needs. Recognizes individual employee skills and performance and provides professional assessment regarding employment related actions such as promotion, job change, merit increases, and education or training needs.

What you will need to succeed:
Education & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, or a related field, with at least five years of experience as an HR Business Partner.
  • Has knowledge of labor laws and regulations and is able to apply them.
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to take a high-level view while attending to details.
  • Ability to skillfully mediate and resolve conflict both logically and dispassionately.
  • Ability to develop a keen understanding of the organization and its internal human resources needs.
  • Ability to create a positive impression of the company and to promote it at every organizational level.
  • Can easily establish good relationships; relate well to people at all levels; build comprehensive and effective networks; use humor appropriately to bring warmth to relationships with others.
  • Possesses strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a "Customer Focus" attitude and delivery.
