We are looking for an engineering leader for CloudFront in Seattle, USA to innovate and solve the hardest problems in scale, security, availability, and performance. This leader's responsibilities will include all aspects of the service experience: Operational excellence, designing and building the software, and delivering on customer performance and scale expectations. Self-ability to directly work and manage junior and senior engineers, along with a focus on operational and engineering excellence is a must.

Key job responsibilities
Lead and scale multiple engineering teams (30-50+ engineers) delivering CloudFront's core content delivery network services, ensuring high availability, low latency, and global performance at massive scale
Define and execute multi-year technical strategy and roadmap for CloudFront features, balancing customer needs, business priorities, and technical excellence while driving innovation in edge computing and content delivery
Own operational excellence across services, including availability targets (99.99%+), incident management, and continuous improvement of deployment practices and monitoring systems
Drive hiring, retention, and development of engineering talent, building diverse, high-performing teams and developing future leaders through coaching and mentorship
Partner with Product Management, Principal Engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to shape product vision, prioritize investments, and deliver customer-obsessed solutions
Manage complex technical dependencies and integration points across AWS services, ensuring seamless customer experiences and architectural alignment
Represent CloudFront in senior leadership forums, communicating progress, risks, and resource needs while influencing organizational strategy and technical direction
Drive cost optimization and efficiency improvements while maintaining service quality and enabling business growth
