Job description

Job Summary:
Deloitte Global is the engine of the Deloitte network, delivering strategic programs and services that unite the organization. The Senior Manager, AWS Cloud Architecture will define cloud architecture solutions, manage a globally distributed team, and ensure compliance with security controls while driving continuous improvement in DevOps practices.
Responsibilities:
• Define the Cloud Architecture for both hybrid and non-hybrid cloud solution.
• Be the go to person for Cloud Architecture. You should have a deep understanding of Virtual Machine and Serverless services offered on cloud platforms and understand how to use them together to build complex solutions.
• Manage, supervise, and review the work of your globally distributed team.
• Ensure that all cloud solutions follow security and compliance controls.
• Participate in the establishment on an automated DevOps release management pipeline which delivers tooling for next generation application development efforts (the Dev) and on-going production operations (the Ops). Cultivate a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery mind set.
• Ensure development teams are provided a full set of DevOps ALM tools by leading the establishment of the right tooling and processes that will result in a fully automated release management pipeline to include: the Automated build process, environment setups, testing scripts, deployments, and production operational metrics/debugging information (to target developers).
• Partner with development and operations teams to develop practical automation solutions and custom modules.
• Troubleshoot automation issues and find practical solutions that move projects forward in a timely manner.
• Be a trusted automation and tooling advisor for DevOps initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights and advice.
• Plan, organize, and control multiple responsibilities to achieve project objectives; technically guide projects through to completion.
• Ensure deliverables are completed within target timeframes and are consistently of high-quality.
• Manage and lead other cloud architects, and work with teams to bring continuous improvement to processes and tools.
• Develop and own KPIs to ensure performance is measured against expected business outcomes.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in IT, with 7+ years of hands-on AWS architecture and operations.
• Deep experience with AWS services, including: Organizations, Service Control Policies, IAM/Identity Center, EC2, EKS (and Fargate), S3, VPCs, ALBs/NLBs, Route 53, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, GuardDuty.
• Strong IaC experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation; module design and state management experience.
• Proven experience operating and governing large, multi-account/multi-region AWS estates.
• Hands-on DevOps/CI-CD experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.) and container tooling (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
• Advanced proficiency in a programming language such as Python or C#
• Knowledge of networking, load balancers, firewalls, and cloud security best practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; experience presenting to executives.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to travel ~10%.
Preferred:
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
• Experience with cost allocation, billing ingestion and enterprise billing models.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC2).
• Experience with observability platforms (Dynatrace) and SRE practices.
• Experience with GitOps, API development, and platform-as-a-product approaches.
