Job description

LHH is partnering with a growing organization to identify a Payroll Specialist for a part-time contract opportunity. This role will support payroll operations and ensure accurate, timely processing for employees in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll on a regular schedule, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Review and audit timekeeping data, including hours worked, overtime, and adjustments
  • Maintain payroll records and update employee information, including rates, deductions, and changes
  • Reconcile payroll data and assist with reporting as needed
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and deductions
  • Ensure compliance with payroll laws, company policies, and internal controls
Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of payroll processing experience
  • Experience with payroll systems (ADP, Workday, Kronos, or similar preferred)
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations and multi-state payroll is a plus
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
  • Part-time schedule (2 days per week Monday and Tuesday, onsite)
  • Contract role with potential to extend beyond 6 months
  • Collaborative team environment with opportunity to support key payroll functions
Pay Details: $23.00 to $27.00 per hour
