Job description

The Oven Operator is a key player in the production of high-quality jerky and meat snacks at Country Archer. This role ensures seamless execution of the cooking processes, critical for delivering our signature flavors. Responsibilities include transferring products from Raw Processing, accurately loading ovens, selecting and monitoring cooking programs, and verifying product quality at every stage. The OvenOperator also oversees the transfer of cooked products to cooling rooms.

This position requires a detail-oriented, quality-driven individual who can follow schedules, set priorities independently, and maintain accurate records to meet our stringent quality and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review the production schedule and ensure readiness of work-in-process batches for loading into theovens.
  • Use theovencontrol system to select approved cooking programs, monitoring performance to ensure all batches meet quality standards.
  • Perform checks on Critical Control Points(CCPs)and verify that all products meet established specifications.
  • Ensure calibration of quality measurement devices foraccuratedata collection.
  • Document batch details, process parameters, and results, and report trends or anomalies to the QA Department and Production Leadership.
  • Collaborate with Room Leaders, QA, and Managers to enhance workflow, maximize capacity, andmaintainproduct quality.
  • Conduct sensory evaluations and quality inspections to ensure consistency and adherence to product standards.
  • Adjustovenprograms as needed tooptimizebatch performance and meet production goals.
